Faceted visualization of linked data spanning internal, external public and subscribed sources can provide an effective and generally applicable mechanism for deriving knowledge from the wealth of available integrated information. Any data source semantically exposed and woven into an information graph becomes available for faceted browsing access. This includes sources ranging from early drug discovery and biotechnology efforts to in and out licensing, clinical trials and patient stratification.\nWe are developing faceted browsing techniques that enhance and significantly replace existing browsing functionality. Several technological problems in this space require new solutions to make faceted browsing over large data volumes with complex dimensionality and class structure a practical alternative to existing visualization methods unlocking its promise. Our new visualization techniques will help pass the query paradigm as well apply smart caching techniques to enable true federated SPARQL (faceted) querying.\nWe like to explain and discuss our use cases, change management issues and architecture to get faceted browsing in production for a multitude of "end-users" showing the use, the benefit and the return on investment of the applied semantic web with a first focus on biotechnology startups.
